ステートメント（ショート）
私が制作で最も大切にしているのは、「社会の中のそれぞれの“私”」です。 今、社会を“私”とともに生きる人々は、みんな、「他者」ではなく、 それぞれに生きる“私”であると考えています。
「社会」や「歴史」というシステムは、それぞれの“私”を、ひとまとめにし、受動的な存在にしてしまうと思います。
私がアートで行いたいのは、それぞれの“私”が本来抱えている、それぞれの可能性や割り切れない想いをかたちにして、「社会」に対する認識を変容させ、能動的に生きる方法を探っていくことです。
ステートメント（ロング）
私は高校生のときに兄を亡くした時、悲嘆の中で街に出ると、当たり前ですが、そこにはいつもと変わらない人たち、世界がありました。その時に、自分が知らない誰かの悲しみが世界には存在し、私はそれらを通り過ぎている事実を痛感しました。
そのことから私が大切にしたいのは、「社会の中のそれぞれの“私”」です。“私”と共に生きる人々は、みんな「他者」ではなく、それぞれに生きる “私”であると考えています。「社会」の大きなシステムは、それぞれの“私”を“他者”化し、受動的な存在にしてしまうと思います。
私がアートで行いたいのは、実際に場所を移動したり人と出逢い、自分と向き合う中で、映像や写真、インスタレーションやパフォーマンス、詩などあらゆる方法を用いて、それぞれの“私”が抱えている、それぞれの可能性や割り切れない想いをかたちにして、「他者」や「社会」への認識を変容させ、能動的に生きる方法を探っていくことです。
複数姓について
作家名である「田中 永峰 良佑」は、父と母の姓をどちらも名乗っています。現在の日本では結婚をすると一方の姓に変えることが求められますが、約９５％は女性が改姓しています。（２０２３年度 厚生労働省「人口動態統計」より）
私の母も同様であり、名前が変わるということはその人が望むと望まないにかかわらず、それまでの人生やアイデンティティを奪うところがあると思います。日本ではその喪失を一方のジェンダーに属する人が殆ど負わなければならず、そうした婚姻家族制度の在り方にも強く疑問を持っているため、私は「田中 永峰 良佑」として複数姓併記の活動をしています。

Statement - Short.ver
What I want to value the most is "I in society." I believe that people who live in a society are not "others," they are "I."
Society tends to group these individual selves together and turn them into passive beings.
I believe that people living in society alongside "I" are not “others” but rather their own individual "I" living their own lives.
What I aim to achieve with my art is to express the unique possibilities and unresolved emotions inherent in each individual "I".
More specifically, I want to use my art to learn more about each other and to find a way of living more actively.
Statement - Long.ver
When I lost my brother in high school, I went out into the city in my grief. Of course, there were the same people and the same world as before. In that moment, I realized the fact that someone else's grief also existed in the world that I was not aware of, and that I was just passing by them.
From this experience, What I want to value the most is "I in society." I believe that people who live in a society are not "others," they are "I." However, society changes the "I" to symbolize "others," which is a passive existence.
What I aim to do with my art is to express the indescribable emotions and possibilities characteristic of the "I in society" by moving between places, meeting people, facing myself and using video, photography, installations, performance, poetry, and any other way that I can find.
Namely, I want to use my art to learn more about each other and to find a way of living more actively.
About My Multiple Surnames
My artist name, “Ryosuke Nagamine Tanaka,” carries both my father’s and mother’s surnames. Japanese law requires married couples to adopt one shared surname, and in practice, women change their names about 95% of the time (Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Vital Statistics 2023). The same was true for my mother. I believe that having one’s name changed, whether they wish it or not, takes away part of that person’s life and identity. In Japan, this burden of loss falls overwhelmingly on one gender, and because I have strong doubts about the fairness of such a marriage system and the society, I use the multiple surname name “Ryosuke Nagamine Tanaka” in my work.
